I like the way you have your bowls set up, where did you get the stainless steel ones? I think I saw those online once, but a few people wrote reviews saying their ferrets were able to get underneath them and kick them up, or tip them over somehow.. have yours ever done that?

Nope, they have never knocked them off. They are quite firmly attached and if you put them directly on the bottom of the cage I would be surprised if a ferret could disloge them. I'm not saying it couldn't be done by a dertermined ferret but I think it would be unlikely. You can get them here: www.chinchilla.ca/list.php?Category=J&source=acces

So, I think the feeding dens are going to be effective in limiting stashing outside of the cage. They have already started stashing their kibble in them and last night when I was playing with Wilma she grabbed one of her toys ran all the way across the room, pulled it through the cage pipping and stashed it in the feeding den! I think the association of the feeding dens as a safe spot has been successful!! I'll try and get some video / pictures tonight.

I don't know why she has a short tail. They are both adopted so I have no idea if she was born that way or something happened to it. Anyhow, The video above got cut off so here is the second level of the cage:

Your setup is amazing! I love the tubing ideas! Your babies look so happy. Makes me even more excited to get my new cage and get it all set up! I will have to look for something similar to the plastic tub also, that fits perfectly for a litter box.

I got mine at Walmart. Just take the cage measurements and then head to the store with a measuring tape (or borrow one of theirs).
