So last night I decided to experiment with a raw soup and some egg yolks (the eggs were cracked in the box). This is in preperation for an eventual switch to raw & whole prey. They definately were interested in the egg yolks but really didn't like getting their wiskers yolky. It was hilarious to watch their looks of confusion and efforts to clean them off on the blankets. ;D
One was interested in the soup, the other not so much. The main problem is that they both seemed to want to grab the plate / bowl and stash the whole meal instead of eat it. I always see pictures on the board of peoples ferrets out in the open gladly chowing down on their soupies and meat. Are my girls just shy? I never see them eat their kibble together, always on their own. Could this be part fo the problem? They just don't like eating when the other is around?
I've recently added a FN 142 as a feeding cage so I can cage them with their food if neccessary. I've also just picked up a free bar sized freezer so I'm ready when I order my whole prey. This weekend I think I'm going to pull their kibble for a while to get them good and hungry and then try the soup / maybe some ground and see where that goes.

Most likely it's because although they may recognize it as something they are interested in(hence trying to stash the dish), they still don't quite understand it's food yet

Yeah I might try boiling the egg and then crumbling the yolk to see if they like that better. Anyhow I hope to have the feeding level of the cage fully setup this weekend with private feeding dens, holders for bone in meat, etc. So hopefully that works a little better.

Cooper would do the same thing, but only with the soup. He'd try and take the dessert cup away from me, LOL.
I figured out that the dessert cups fit PERFECTLY inside of their little lock-on food crocks, so I put them in there so he couldn't stash it somewhere and get soup all over everything, haha.
When he's hungry, he'll throw a fit by dragging the dish around, knocking it into the side of the cage, trying to flip it, etc.... ;D
