I still can't wrap my head around the fact he could be that old.. Caillou is SO energetic, I mean just crazy hyper. Juliet is around 5 and she plays for about 1-2 hours while Caillou can play for 5-6 hours.
Is it possible he just has bad teeth? It's not that big of a deal if he is older I just think if he was around 3 or so it'd make more sense haha. Though maybe he's just a hyper fert. Ah mysteries..

Telling age by teeth is not a science so there is always a margin of error but it's been tested out to be fairly consistent. I had a boy, Mad Max who was 5 when I got him. He was terribly active until his death almost 6 yrs later. No one would have ever thought him to be 10 or 11 when he passed on. Their activity levels and states of health have no bearing on their age ciao

Well I do hope if he is 5 then he can live as long as yours did, 10+ years... that's great! Perhaps his energy just means he'll be healthy through his life (fingers crossed!)

I'm not too familiar with aging, but I'd say maybe 2-3 years... ? One of the members will correct me.

The clarity is about like my Caillou's... so I'm going to take a guess and say around 4 years, but again, I could be wrong. Someone will bud in who knows more.

Not bad guess....Clarity is less than half way but further than a third. Half way is 7 yrs +. There is clarity also on the upper parts of the teeth as well making the ferret about 5+ ciao

I would guess older than that - it looks like the clarity goes most of the way up her tooth, almost far enough to meet the clarity from the top. It's definitely more than halfway... :/

Oh, wow. It's not often I get to look in a mouth of a ferret that old. 7+, maybe 8. The clarity has extended all the way across the top teeth. To be safe, I'm going to say at least 7 but probably older. ciao
