I have a question, would like your opinion. What would be a good height between the floors of a multi-floor level cage? Also, being a new member, how do I make my e-mail address public? Thanks to everyone and wishing everyone a great day.
With the cage-some of it depends on the age of your ferrets. Wee kits and seniors would need more help getting up and down. All of our ferrets are about two and climb the cage bars to move between levels which are 13" apart. We plan to add corner hammocks to help them as they get older or if we get one who can manage the climb. Our cage isn't homemade but the shelves are. Here is a picture of our setup:
