This morning when I was making my coffee, my dear Chestnut was having his breakfast....In the litter box. I gave him some cut up liver and tripe and I was watching as he would pick up a piece, go down one floor right into the litter box. Back up, pick another piece (yes, one tripe and one liver), right back down into the litter box and was having them in there. I've never seen him doing it, so I was just staring, couldn't believe it. And last week was the first time we found a chicken drumstick in the linen closet.... So, I did some research here on the forum and I am stealing your ideas!!!! Feeding den it is.

;D actually, as disgusting as it is mixing poops and food is normal behaviour for them. It's how they disguise the scent of food so no one else can steal it When you set up his feeding den every time you see him going elsewhere with the meat, put him meat and all into the den. You'll need to find out if he wants all his meat in there at the start, or prefers to place it himself ;D I usually just put it all in.

I made the mistake of thinking I would just put the food in the den...Minion then took all the food and hid it in one of the tube balls up on the wall Now, I just put the bowl in the middle of the ferret room and let them stash their food in the box Not half as bad of going to get the ferret outdoor play area open (one of the few wet snows took out the screen that covers the area) and finding that the brats had stashed a whole quarter rabbit out in the tunnel....last fall Guess what that looks like now ciao
