I got this idea from wenmister I think a couple of years ago. For a cheap fun toys I buy easter eggs every easter. I buy some baby socks from the dollar store and I put pennies in the eggs, tape them shut and put them inside the socks. I tie the socks shut with ribbon and I swear these are one of my furkids most favorite toys.
My deafies absolutely LOVE them btw too.. Maggie will shake the crap out of them for hours.
I can make like 8 of these for 3-4 dollars, periodically I snip the ribbon off and wash the socks, or if I stock up I can just make new ones and throw the old away. I've got a bunch of derby eggs and these seem to top those as the favorite toy of all. ;D

I just bought mine the other day...I've been waiting all year for some to show up. I will have to try the pennies. I've been using navy beans. I was going to pick up some bells.
ciao

Yep. I think Easter is my favorite ferret holiday. Kmart has bags of those plastic eggs on sale for under three dollars. Sunday is going to be a real easter egg hunt with the fuzzies; complete with treats and pennies and an egg dig box.

You could also buy egg maracas from any kind of music store for about $2. They're available all year round FOUND
