Hello, I got a ferret a few weeks ago. He is a silver mitt named Bode, and is a year old.
I've been unable to find a kibble I was happy with. At all. He's currently eating 8-in-1 ultimate (what he was eating at his last home) mixed with blue buffalo wilderness for cats. He likes his kibble...but I worry about his health. I want to have him around for a long time, preferably without icky things like Insulonoma. So, I am looking into either a whole prey or partially whole prey diet for him.
Aside from him, I have 27 other critters, and I try to give them the best things that I can. I've been exploring grain free foods and trying to get my parents to switch the cats and dog to grain free. The other animals I have eat the best stuff I can find for them and corn is banned in my house. (well..except the cats and dog.. I don't actually know what my parents are feeding them, which is mostly my doing since I don't know if I WANT to know. Trying to get them to feed grain free though.) I do feed grain to my rodents. (rats, mice) But, they don't get corn either. Corn is, as far as I am concerned, the devil in terms of pet food.
So, hello! :3

I have- 2 cats 1 dog 1 ferret 1 bird (European Starling) 1 snake (Sand boa) 5 mice 4 rats (one is almost 3 years old ) 1 horse 1 frog (chorus frog) and 11 chickens. ...my life is busy. LOL. I just switched to online school though so I have a ton of time, and that's why I had time for a ferret. He's a traveler ferret, goes everywhere with me. I think he thinks he is a lap dog...which is fine by me. Bode now has his own picture thread. :3

Oh gosh, I may have to tackle THAT in the morning. Not a small job, gathering all of the pictures together.
I'll try to get some up soon. I don't even HAVE decent pictures of all of the chickens, they hate to sit still, and now that it's spring the roosters are really ornery and nasty. I got in a fight with one yesterday, he attacked me without fail for ten minutes before getting tired of crashing into my foot. Maybe I can take some new shots of them tomorrow. (assuming a rooster doesn't eat my phone, haha)

Hello. Nice to see someone else with a zoo like ours. In fact your Bode and our Jeremy look a lot alike.
Chicken can be hard as they are scurrying somewhere. ;D

Used to irritate the heck out of my dad when i was very young. I'd rock the chickens to sleep, and line 'em all up in a row before the first started waking up again
