Just got my set from Rose yesterday! Ok it's not really MINE, it's my Christmas present to my family for Hagrid, Hazel, and Heidi. But I'm still excited! I'll take some pictures before I wrap it and I'll make my mom take pics after it's all set up too. I got tan and brown bedding with monkey patterned hammies, I think I might pick up a monkey hammock and a banana hammock when I go to the store tomorrow too if they have them in.

wow I love everyones set up gives me some great ideas. I have been having a problem finding cute fabric. Years ago I found this really cute pirate fabric it was fleece with pirate maps and skull and cross bones appliquéd on love it I made some covers but it did not work out well I used velco along the plastic pan and sewed velco on the fabric to attach but it was not a good idea it was a pain to wash because of all the velco and it would not stay on so I messed up the fabric. Now I have a better idea on how to make them, like pillow cases. Too bad I cannot figure out where that fabric is I could salvage it. I also had cut mouse and cheese fabric the cheese was on the fleece with the mice appliquéd on. At the time I was making the covers for my rats they were before the ferrets due to rats where the closes thing I could legally get where i live. I have been looking all over for cute fabric but nothing has stood out you guys have found some really cute stuff. I cannot wait to make some more covers right now I just have the generic blue and purple ones they sell online. what is the best type of fabric to use? Fleece, flannel, ect?

Personally I prefer fleece because it's easy to clean and maintain, and warm and snuggly for the kiddos.

I thought we had a thread for just cages in general, can't find it. Anyway I stripped their cages bare this week, washed all of their bedding, washed the cages, dishes etc and rearranged the cages. We've done away with ramps entirely. Initially I tried it with just one shelf, but Murder made it clear that in no uncertain terms was he about to climb around gaps that high. Had to double shelf most of the levels for him. Our fourth cage only the top is open to them right now, waiting on more shelves to arrive so they can be doubled up. I'm thinking I will be moving the ball pit to the bin that is now the rice box after I dump out the dirty rice and clean it, then get a smaller tote for the rice and put it in the office cage. If I nearly fill it with rice and stick a tunnel in and out of it as the only access, they basically will be almost fully submerged and have no way to poop in it, but they can dig then. Hopefully. They seem to be enjoying the new hammock arrangements. Also, they're the only ferrets I've heard of that were raging to be let back into their cages! They were in the playroom all day one day, shut out from their cages and they were very upset about not having their cages to sleep in or their tunnels. Office Playroom Living room Kitchen

Haha yes, they get all 4 cages 99% of the time, unless we need to isolate a sickie or something.

Old picture here, but this was the first no-sew bedding set I made. You can't see very well because of the towel on the bottom, but the bottom cage mat was black and red as well. (Reversible - one side black, one side red)

I am very jealous of the dino cloth! ;D
It took some months to buy all the cages and set up the tunnels.

Thanks guys! I have a soft spot for Dinos, always have. And Darlene I am pretty horrid at sewing, so this is a great option. One day I will figure out how the darn sewing machine works. (I know how to use the presser foot rofl I just can't set it up to get started ). I still have no patience for it though...
