Hi everyone! I am new here and new (again) to the world of ferrets. I had one in 1997 and we just got 2 on Monday. They are sweet boys, Scully and Jerry. I got them from a woman that needed to find them a good home. I have no idea how old they are but we do have a vet check up set up for next week so she might be able to tell us. I am trying to brush up on ferret care and thought joining a forum is a great place to start. Hope to learn something new here!

Hi and welcome to the forum and back to the world of ferrenting  Hmmm, 1997... a lot has changed since then in the care of ferrets. A lot of really good advances in care both natural and allopathic. Feel free to prowl around, check out the various sections, read through the threads, ask questions..get involved. Everyone here is friendly, so don't be shy (well they're friendly as long as they get their photo fix   ) I hope I will be seeing you around ciao |

Thanks! I did sign up for the mentoring program to begin the process over to raw food. I was young when I had my first ferret and didn't do the right things with him (back then we were advised to feed ferrets kitten food  ). This time around, I want to do the very best I can for my boys (yes, I will post pics soon). I am going to make the first batch of soup tonight to get it going and am looking forward to hearing from a mentor. Thanks for the warm welcome! |

Yay for switching to raw Welcome to the forum! You'll be so glad you signed up for a mentor, I am super glad I did, switching to raw has made a HUGE difference in my fuzzies (...I have been going on about that for awhile now....  ) and I am still mid-switch!!!!  |
