I can't remember. I am trying to switch my kids again to raw. They really love rabbit. I am using preground mixes. I have them eating chicken, rabbit, lamb, and I am going to try them with some kangaroo and venison too. But what I am worried is that their poops seem off. Is it normal because of a new protein? They all have ground bone, organ, heart, and muscle meats in the mixes. I am using red dog blue kat. Is this ok? It only has 2% veggies/fruit and it is juiced, so there are no chunks or anything it the mixes. I am also mixing in wysong arch 1, cause that seems to be helping them actually like it.

Red dog/Blue kat is an excellent one How long have they been eating commercial raw now? Funky stools are normal with a new switch. If it's been more than a couple, three weeks, you may want to start feeding only one protein for a couple of days, then switch to a different one. That way you'd have a better idea if anyone has a sensitivity to a particular protein.

They have been getting the red dog/blue kat since last saturday, so just over a week. They are not fond of the chicken, so I got the rabbit and they love it. I started them on the rabbit on sunday. I might use the rabbit as the base to try and get them to eat other stuff though since they like it so much. It also has lamb heart in the rabbit. Even Huck, the reason I stopped the raw will eat a little of it. I thought I would try it cause he doesn't want to eat his normal food anymore just soupies. And he needs to eat something more balanced than his cooked chicken soup. I do think the chicken is the culprit though. I am positive the bad poops are from Lily, she's always been sensitive to chicken based kibbles.

Green seedy poops are often a sign of a food passing through the system too quickly. It's not uncommon even within a week. It could also point to a sensitivity, not an all out allergy. I've had a couple of fuzzes who if are fed a protein a couple of days in a row, start having digestive issues. If I only feed it once within the week they're ok. I just try not to feed it too often ciao
