Just wandering what everyones feeding routine is for freeze dried raw. I just started my ferret on Stella and Chewy's Freeze Dried Steaks.

My guys like it better dry than rehydrated, so I break up the patties into smaller chunks and I just fill up a bowl of 4 different protein sources (chicken, Turkey, Lamb, Venison) and they eat it at will.... They drink enough and don't choke on it (but some people have those issues with their guys...) They have a second bowl in which I put 60g of homemade mush three times a day....

Since shipping costs so much to Canada for Stella and Chewey's, right now I'm using Feline Natural for them as treats. Although they LOVE Stella and Chewey's!

I always leave out a bowl of dry freeze dried for snacking in between meals. My ferret is not in a cage so I don't like to leave fresh raw meat out bc he'll stash it everywhere. In the snack bowl, I leave out the feline chicken, canine beef and lamb. I break them up into pieces that are about 1 inch x 1 inch. He doesn't eat a lot of dry freeze in dry form, maybe a few pieces during the night. I feed two meals (morning and night) with non-freeze dried raw meat and that keeps him satisfied. I use a lot of commercial frozen raw like Bravo, Primal and Rad Cat. sometimes I will just rehydrate the duck duck goose patties & feed that to him as a meal.
