I know you are suposed to met Ferrets eat as much as they want, but is it ok if I only feed them some small meats while there is a piece of meat on bone in their cage that way when they are done eating if/when they are hungry again maybe they go to the bone?

Are you at the point where you are trying to get them to actually eat the bone? If so, adding muscle meats will encourage them to hold out for something easier. Only way I got mine onto them was to feed nothing but heavy bone in meals like wings and necks for 3-4 days in a row. I smashed the bone up well, chopped it, and they ate chicken wings for 3 days straight

I have some sort of pork or beef neck in their cage, I forgot which one lol. I know the 2 younger ones will chew on it some but Flower has yet to chew on bones. And I'm just nervous to keep food from her so I have been giving them a small amount of their regular food and then leave a meat bone in their cage...

It took Chestnut a couple of days to get to the bone too. We smashed it up, and didn't give him anything but wings. Took him a little, but figured it out and now, that's his favorite...
