Hi all,
I'm Sophie and I live in Central London (UK) with my flatmate Simon and the lovely Fraggle. He will be three in June, and I've had him since he was eight weeks old. He is very much a mummy's boy!
When I first had him I fed him on high-quality kibble (used by the Queen!) but when I moved to London, his vet encouraged me to try natural feed, so now he is spoiled rotten and gets poussin, beef, pig cheeks, lamb offal, the occasional sardine, eggs.... He was even given venison for Christmas!
I have to admit I used this forum when I was first switching, but then didn't log in for a while, so my account was deleted. Oops! Am back now though, and am planning on logging in a lot more!
Would be good to get to know other people in the UK, but I have a few questions that I will post in the appropriate sections on here - they are just general things about health, enrichment etc.
Look forward to meeting you all! Sophie

Hi Sophie! Your boy is delightful - I love his markings - so distinctive!

Thank you!
Sad that he has a bald patch in that photo - when he's moulting he chews his front legs, which makes him look like he's got some kind of skin disease.... He really hasn't!
Yours look a really lively bunch - I don't have that many photos of Fraggle where he isn't either asleep, or blurred because he's off finding mischief!

Haha, typical troublemaker, how can you get a picture of something that never holds still? He's a handsome boy there, I like his white bib!

Hi and welcome on board. Please feel free to prowl around check out the various threads and sections, participate in discussions and generally just get involved. Everyone's friendly. I'm glad to see your beautiful wee boy is already eating a varied raw diet. I noticed his bare batch, I thought when I first saw it he had been ill, I'm glad to see it's nothing more than shedding. You might want to add some marine fish oil or something like that and see if that helps tone down his itchies while he's shedding. I hope I will be seeing you both around (yes, posting or at least dropping regularly keeps your account updated) ciao

Thanks everyone!
Fraggle already has cod liver oil regularly - I'm actually trying to source some Ferretone as well, as he is running low. He adores it, but it's not easy to get here in the UK.
I'm hoping the weather improves a bit so I can get some photos/videos of him wandering round the park - one of his favourite activities as he loves meeting new people, he's a shameless attention-seeker...

Go easy on the cod liver oil. It's really high in vit A, which could potentially be a problem if overdone.

You may want to be careful feeding ferretone (unless it's different than the stuff we have) it's preserved with BHA/BHT. If you're feeding liver already I wouldn't use cod liver oil more than once a week. This is why I supplement with fish or seal oil cut with olive oil. ciao
