Raphael is just something else. I had the rabbit on the couch next to me and I had been feeding him a piece of carrot. He didn't want anymore so I put it on my laptop which is right here next to me. A few mintues later Raph comes up on the couch, grabs the carrot and runs off with it. Cute I thought and chuckled to myself. Then a little later I get up and go in the kitchen and I can hear chewing noises and what sounded like a carrot rolling around on the floor. There he was in the corner actually EATING the carrot. And you should have seen the commotion when I tried to take it away. He was totally flipping out. I gave him a chicken neck because he was acting like he was starving. He is such a goof. LOL!

Especially since they can't digest them- they stay whole as they pass through. Did he actually eat much off of it? You may want to look at some lax/pumpkin for the "carnivore" ;D

I don't know it's hard to tell. Probably not much. But why a raw carrot of all things? I mean I thought when the girls where getting into the cereal that was weird, but I could sort of understand that. I can't imagine that he actually like it.

Carrots are sweet I've got one who, I'd swear, would rather be a vegetarian

Watch your ferret VERY carefully for pooping issues, vomiting, lethargy, teeth grinding, etc. If he swallowed a big chunk of carrot, it could cause obstruction. I realize e probably chewed it well enough, but you do know he has been exposed to a potential risk, so if anything seems amiss within the next couple of days, you may want to be paranoid about the carrot Don't panic, everything's probably fine. Jst keep a watch for normal behavior and "normal poops". (not sue there is such a thing as a completely normal poop with ferrets ) -jennifer
