So, I've been thinking of trying out the NV Venison FD for a little while now, but was scared my guys wouldn't like it... I got the courage today to try it, and...... Lyla grabbed a bug chunk and ate it right there! Looks like Venison is a winner! I've noticed my guys like Chicken, Lamb, and now Venison the best. Duck & Goose are always the last to be eaten.... Guys my guys just don't like it....

Venison is a big winner in this household too...they line up for it. The dog, the cats, the ferrets..... Lamb used to be a favourite but for some reason it's fallen out of favour....I don't know why Strangely enough, turkey isn't a fav, unless it's hand fed then I think the game of keep away is more fun than actually eating it (they do eat it so the other fuzzes can't get any) ciao

LOL! Weird they went from liking Lamb to not I hope mine don't do that, because then I have to find yet another protein! And they don't like beef Question... is egg a separate protein from chicken? Like, if I add a bit of eggs in the ground up, would that help and count as yet another? They eat many different brands, but always comes down to chicken, lamb, and now venison... I haven't tried pork or turkey.... But soon, before summer ends, I want to have tried each them out and see what they think But I think Goose and duck will be going after I'm done with the current bags.... it's hard to get them to eat it... Thanks!

Have you tried mixing small amounts of the goose or duck in the venison?? The venison is a stronger tasting meat. They might like the duck/goose better if it wasn't on it's own. I'm not saying so much that they could actually taste it...maybe a couple of tablespoons or just a tablespoon to start and see if you can get them to at least it as a mixed protein. No, sorry...eggs don't count...they're really just chickens in a shell ciao

No, sorry...eggs don't count...they're really just chickens in a shell ;D ;D ;D ;D It's what I thought... but it was worth a try Thanks! As for the duck and goose... they're part of the freeze drieds (I break about 5-7 different brands into small pieces, and mix them all up in a bowl... The Duck/goose is always the last to leave.... it takes a few days usually...). They seem to like those best dry too 0.o I tried rehydrating the lamb and duck/goose at separate times once.. but they wouldn't touch it... but dry they love the lamb.... I've tried adding a bit of the duck/goose freeze dried to their raw ground that I make, Baloo didn't mind, but Meeko was NOT happy and make me wear some of it So I've given up on that for now... lol! Thanks for the tips!
