whole prey and the other pets in my room

I know Ive asked something similar before lol So I was thinking about trying whole frozen mice... Now Flower I trust that she is not a little hunter as she has met some of my other pets through the bars... But Amalia and Davinger... Im not so convinced lol They havent met any of my other pets because they are quite feisty and Im not sure how they would react to a through the bars meeting. Now, I dont currently have pet mice or rats in my room but do periodically have them, so I was wondering if feeding a whole mouse would encourage them to seek out any live ones I may be keeping in my room?

Also, I have pet button quails who lay tons of eggs but never sit on them. I was pondering the idea of getting an incubator and hatching some of the eggs and raising some whole prey for the ferts... But Im not sure how I woul go about killing them, I dont really have the money to make a gas chamber... And how old would they have to be before I fed them to the ferts?

Frozen mice and maybe the button quails are the only things I would possible feel comfortable feeding as whole prey. Well and maybe some fishes and frogs to, can they eat live meal worms? or no the shells are to much fiber for them?

As for the other animals in my room... I have 2rabbits, 2 button quails, 4 hedgehogs, 1 bearded dragon baby, a chinchilla who I have to adopt out as Ive developed quite a bad allergic reaction to him and 2 guinea pigs that were surrendered to me and are looking for furever homes. So as you can see my room is quite the little zoo lol and the number and variety of animals in here can change all the time lol. I almost usually have a resident rat or 2 but have not been able to get one again since I had to put the last to sleep.. Im just an axious mamma who worries about the safety of all her pets lol

Would it make them MORE likely to hunt them out? I don't think so. Now, if you live feed it might do it.
As with any whole prey raised, if the ferret isn't going to "do the job", usually a simple cervical dislocation dispatches any smaller prey quite quickly. With the quail, Obviously the closer they are to adulthood, the better. Although as a meal every week or so, they can be younger.
And yes, they can have live meal worms. But treat them more as a snack If used as a meal, I'd not give more than one meal a week.

To be on the safe side, I don't let my rats, rabbits, mice interact with my ferrets. It really is stressful on the non-ferret pet. Ferrets are pretty stressful creatures

As for home euthanasia it's really easy to make a carbon dioxide chamber for small animals

I gave some mealworms to my ferts and Tink projectile vomited 5 minutes later. No more bugs for my weasels, the piranhas liked them though. Also, if you plan on feeding frogs, do not use CO2! Some amphibians can hold their breath for a long time (up to 27 hours), which makes any inhalant useless and/or cruel. I posted links to several sites regarding amphibian euthanasia in another thread; Refrigeration followed by double pithing is the most humane way to dispatch frogs without chemicals.
