I have some left over new england clam chowder in the fridge that i'm thinking of warming up tonight. I was thinking of maybe giving oreo a little bit of it but, I wanted to double check to make sure it was ok for him?

No. Most human foods have way too much salt. Even if you can't taste it. That and it's a milk base. Ferrets are lactose intolerant. It's also usually got bacon. Not a good thing. Along with any and all other spices in it.

Not to mention the potatoes, veggies, and added sugars!
As a general rule of thumb, if it's not animal tissue (meat, bones, organs), it's not okay.

Not to mention the soup could have onion and/or garlic! Onion and garlic are very harmful to ferrets.
