As the title states, four of my monsters are eating RMB's. Jack and Sprite have been eating chunks and crunching bone for a while, I caught Tink eating chunks yesterday (from a hidden stash) and when I gave them the rest of the CGH today, Peanut went right after a chunk of CGH back and is busily crunching it now. So that leaves only Zaxx as the lone holdout, but I think he's eating overnight as he's not losing any weight. Not too shabby for a month into switching them over!
Their raw soup (breakfast) is a fairly balanced mix of liver, kidney, heart and meats with pumpkin, eggshell powder and salmon + EVOO mixed in. Dinner has been CGH, chicken, beef, or pork chunks (CGH and chicken they get the bones snapped) Now to find somewhere local to get duck, chicks, rabbit, and quail...

Congratulations! That's fantastic And if Zaxx is energetic, pooping normally, and not losing weight, then he's eating Now, it would be a good idea to balance out the rest of the meals for evenings. 4 bone in meals, 2 muscle meals, one heart meal, and one meal of about 1oz of liver each(bulk up that meal with some bone in or muscle meat )

Yeah, so far the CGH has been a big success. It was the first bone-in meal Jack and Peanut ate, Sprite's first was a mouse. I get my CGH (Purdue) for about $3 each in two packs ($6). There is a livestock auction every Saturday in Tabernacle ( Harker's Auction for anyone in S. Jersey) that sells chicks and rabbits, not sure about anything else though, I plan on hitting it up this weekend. The asian market nearby does sell quail, rabbit and duck, but I'm hoping to get some a bit cheaper at the auction. I don't mind cleaning and dressing carcasses so whichever method is cheaper is what I'll go with. I'm also going to breed mice again since $2 a pop is way too expensive for the quantities I'll need. Heh, the only reason I like living in NJ is because of the farmland and access to Philly and the beaches. Striper season is approaching too, time to get the surf rods ready!
