So, I did my best to slightly starve Baloo this morning. Instead of giving them 80g of raw, I gave them 60g. Then, when Baloo starting chowing down the freeze dried, I took that away too (but the little turd went into Meeko's hidden stash and ate some there!! lol). So finally, at about 2pm, he must have been pretty hungry after a play session. I hammered up a neck, cut it in inch sized pieces, and gave them half, keeping the other half for tomorrow. He ate one piece instantly, but he randomly picked out the piece with no bone Then he had enough... I hope he will keep eating some before their next ground meal. If he's not done, I'll mix the both together

Hey- it's a start! And a good one Just don't let them go for too long without eating. They had some prior to that, so that's great

Lol, oh, trust me, no one's starved! Baloo likes to eat a lot I just want him to like to eat a lot of bone in things too! lol Thanks! He had another nibble of the bonny part a few hours later. At 5:3 I mixed some ground with it. He didn't seem to like that as he's only picked at it since, not really eaten a meal.... But then again, he didn't really play much today... he's running around like crazy right now, so...We'll see how he eats overnight... lol!

Could it be that digesting bones bothers him? Nope. He wants something easy to eat ;D The only way I got mine over this was by giving them heavily chopped up wings for 3-4 days in a row. You could just use the necks instead. Do you have a cleaver? Chop them up into bits if so, and feed them that way.

Hmmmm.... Having Meeko "sick" just complicates things so much for Baloo's training!! lol I'm always scared to force Meeko eating something new because of her PediaPred and the stress level.... But if I want Baloo to not have much, I have to take mush away from Meeko too... :S Hmmmm..... Meeko wants nothing to do with necks nor wings. I've tried Baloo will eat a bit, then act as if it's not food... I can try and cut the neck even more with the knives I've got (I got no cleavers)... Or.... would it break my grinder if I I grind hammered necks and wings? I'd break the bones in small pieces to start with, but would that be bad for the grinder? Would it be a good slow transition to get him to eat bone in an "easy soup", then grandually add in bigger pieces? Because he likes his raw mush. He doesn't mind eating small pieces with no bone, but he doesn't want to eat small pieces with broken bone... Would it be a good idea to revert to ground with bone, then add bigger pieces instead of doing bigger pieces then bone? I don't know if this makes sense... lol sorry!! ;D It makes sense in my head... I'm just not sure how to explain it... lol! Thanks!
