Lamb Chop was the first addition to our little ferret family. She is the smallest ferret I have ever seen, and by far the smallest of our group. Don’t ever let that fool you, though. She is my Alpha Female Lioness Prima Donna Napoleon. In her opinion, it’s all about Lamb Chop, all the time. She is truly the most clever and intelligent creature I have ever met, and that attitude! She seems to think that she’s god’s gift to all the world, and on the rare occasions she’s not wreaking havoc and chaos, I think she’s right.
Lamb Chop’s evil smirk:
My husband is the only person in the entire world Lamb Chop deems worthy of cuddling:
Lamb Chop yawning:
My husband was packing up his camel back, and Lamb Chop snagged the mouth piece cover and made a run for it. We scooped her up as soon as she snagged it, but man, was she furious when we took it from her. She screamed and hissed at my husband, and I could swear I heard her snarl.
Badger yawning, with Lamb Chop in the background:
Badger Face was our second addition, and she couldn’t be any more different from Lamb Chop. She’s my sweet girl, always giving kisses and asking to be held. She’s the clumsiest ferret I’ve ever seen, bumbling along rather than walking. She’s the most vocal of the group, always happily dooking to herself. Especially when she’s engaged in her favorite hobby: stealing the insoles out of shoes and stashing them behind the couch.
Badger Face:
Fluffy, excited Badger:
Badger trying to drag and stash my friend’s cat’s kitty litter box:
I think that her little feet are the cutest thing in the entire universe:
Curious Badger:
Badger rolling around:
Being a Boot Weasel and looking for the insole:
Falkor is our newest addition. We were looking to adopt, and he came from a family who could no longer care for him. Poor guy’s nails were so long he couldn’t even walk when we took him. First thing I did was cut his nails and help him start remembering how to be a ferret. He has truly blossomed in his time with us, and is a joy. He’s the most laid back guy ever. So, so lazy. He’ll play with Badger and I for a while, and then flop down and fall asleep. Lamb Chop doesn’t deem him worthy of her attentions, for the most part. He got his name because when we first introduced him, Lamb Chop immediately grabbed him by the scruff and tried to drag him, just so he would know who’s boss. Falkor, being five times bigger, couldn’t have cared less. He continued to slither along his way, forcing Lamb Chop to hold on for dear life. She was literally riding on his back because she’s so small. I couldn’t help but think of Falkor the Luck Dragon, he was so long and huge and white. Especially with Lamb Chop to play the part of Atreyu, riding along on his back.
Falkor sleeping in my lap:
Itchy Falkor:
Lazy:
I think I may only have one picture of him awake:
Big, pink belly:
Dozing in my arms:
And this is the poor, skinny little girl I just took in yesterday to fatten up and foster:
It just breaks my heart every time I pick her up. Just a little bag of bones.
