It's not that bad yet...but I have found a few rouge fleas on the cats and none on the dogs (but they get comfortis)....I can't remember is it Advatage or Frontline that I can use of the fuzz, just in case, to have on hand, they do get out of control..right now daily flea combing and regular vaccumiing of the couches are keeping them in check...

I don't usually ever have fleas here but this past fall I saw two on one of the ferrets, so I treated the cats with advantage and it took care of everyone 's fleas. They only have to bite one of the cats to die, so as long as they move around and pester everyone, they all eventually die.

Ah fleas, are they bugs or are they demons? I often have problems with fleas where I live! I have a dog 3 cats and 2 fish and its not uncommon to get a sea of fleas right after the dogs bath!! Enough fleas can even bite a pet to death, carry plague or parasite oh ya, it could happen! It starts with 1 but 1 +1= 3400 and that's no fun! We use anti flea shampoo for the dog (which I wish they made for me) and when we are infested theirs only one thing to do, hope my step sisters don't move back in and wait 5 weeks for them to leave so its safe to bomb the house! Do we have fleas now? YES!!! What do we do about it? soon it will get back to the point where we put a bucket of bleach in every room and pick them off and toss them in before going to the next room, do I have a better idea? sadly no!

I use revolution. Always have with a great track record. I split a tube between two 2 lb fuzzies.

I also use Revolution (this thread reminds me, I should start dosing again! I always take the winter off), I get the big dog size and dose per my vet's instructions to share a tube through all 6 pets.

Truly if fleas relied on pets and people to survive they'd be extinct if everyone had the monny for something as remarkable as that! At least as far as I can figure.

I use revolution on my ferrets, i get the big dog doses and divide it up. Frontline for my cats, again big dog doses and I divide them up. then I buy more frontline for the dogs.
Flea season is expensive around here!

I couldn't imagine protecting so many fuzzies! Talk about pricey! It cost me about $15 a month for my two, which isn't that bad. With so few fuzzies, I don't think I'd be able to buy in bulk. Maybe once I get a bigger business

lol! We've been in the 80's for the past week or so...so of course they are EVERYWHERE! It doesn't help that Sid Kitten keeps trying to escape to find a girlfriend (trying to find a super cheap place to have him de-himed!)and they usually come in with him and even if I stop him at the door and comb him right away I will regretably miss one or two...and with all of the animals around here it only takes one bite for flea allergies to flare up not just on the animals but me! UGH! When I get bit the area swells and gets hot and raised almost like a big hive and I'm talking big like a pringles chip size instead of a little flea bite.... I almost look like a red and white spotted cow when I get bit

I am thankful that we don't have to deal with them!! I've heard they are attracted to light, so if at night you get a big big bowl, and put dishsoap in it, and put a light over it, they jump at the light and fall into the dish water and drowned =] (there is a non chemical way to help a bit)
