Tonight I made my first basic raw soup. I put about a tbs in a dish, and offered it to each of the ferrets when they woke up this evening. Gwin didn't want to have much to do with it, she licked her lips but only to get that weird stuff off of her face!
Farin did a little better. She had the funniest look, like she was gagging it down! Then she'd lick her lips and have another taste. I kept some out for tomorrow, then put the rest into ice cube trays. They are dark blue ones I found in my cupboard. They are not to be confused with the regular ice cube trays that are white!

I also got my scale today, it measure up to 7#. Farin weighs 1.75#, while Gwin the fat fuzz weighs 2.25# Funny, it feels like more than a half pound difference!

I think most of the wee ones get the face going. They soon get over it though ciao

I've always thought my weeze look happiest when eating their raw ;D Best face is when I do a new mix with different protein sources in it. Percy is all excited to eat until he sniffs the bowl.. then he gets this blank look on his face, turns up his nose and waddles away.

Farin seems to be much more interested in the soup than Gwin! I'm gonna try spoon feeding her tonight.
How often should I be offering the soup? So far, I've given them some in the late evening, the last three days. Should I add more to their dish in the morning? Or toss the old and start again with fresh(frozen!)

I leave soup in the bowl for about 4-6 hours. Once it starts to brown my kids wont touch it. With mine, getting them used to soup took frequent soup feedings. I'd try every chance I got to get them to eat some.
