I honestly don't know how the freeze drying process would affect taurine levels. Let me do some research when I get home.

I had the same brain-fart as well sherry. I'm still not completely sure they will be sufficient in taurine since normal freezing does result in degradation - but i think that's over long periods of time? I don't know. I'll still supplement with powder to be safest and these can just be a chewy snack

Wow, those look tasty but at nearly $15 a pound? I guess I should feel lucky my local Asian market sells fresh duck hearts for $1.50 a pound, meaning the freeze-dried ones are 10 times more expensive! The things we do for our fuzzies

at nearly $15 a pound? Since there's no moisture left in freeze dried foods- do you have any idea how many hearts it would take to make an entire pound??? ;D

I paid $ 10 for 3 oz. of freezed dried hearts - about 45 pieces some cut in half.

Our duck hearts came today nicely packaged. My kitty zoey is going nuts for them! She isn't a raw eater (been there, tried that) but she has been known to steal a whole steak from your plate. Pip immediately stashed some and the boys haven't touched them yet. I' m really happy with the quality of the product - all the hearts are whole. No crumbs.

These turned out to be a big hit with my three. The last few days jack has been obsessed with them and will eat four or five at a time. Somehow they know which foods are mucho expensive
