She's doing well. I don't have much to update you on. I have to wait til payday to buy her more stuff to make her some soup. I did offer her a chick my others were eating and she tasted it. Didn't really eat any, but she did lick it and didn't hate it. Oh, I do have some ground chicken in the freezer. I can try offering just that without the soup and see how it goes. I can partially cook it if it doesn't go over well. I'll do that and let you know.
I think Alitasha is finally more stable and it looks like BillyBob's swelling behind his eye was due to a slab fractured tooth. So I think things are calming down now and I really want to get back on track with Anya.

I'm glad things seem to be calming down. Poor Billybob! I gather he had the tooth out? If you've got ground chicken, why not just purée that up for her?

Offering straight raw chicken puree did not go over well. I drizzled a little ferretone over it too. She's very good about trying things and she was eating it, then it's like all of a sudden the taste hits her and she freaks out. I tried cooking half of it and adding it to the raw, but she doesnt want anything I have to offer her now. Will try again tomorrow with more cooked to the mixture.
Yes BillyBob had to lose his big tooth. The reason the Dr. didnt see it originally was the slab was still attached to the gums making it look like a whole, healthy tooth. I finally saw a tiny crack and then probed it and wanted to puke when a huge slab lifted up. He had it extracted the next day and is feeling so much better.

Did she try it on her own, or we're you feeding it to her? If it was on her own, try the finger feeding and see how much you can get her to take that way. So glad Billybob is feeling better! Poor las, that must have been painful.

At first she was eating it on her own. Then when she wouldn't anymore I started feeding her which she would lick it then flip it all over me. I ended up sprayed with chicken.

It's just not going well without her soup or baby food as a mixer. I will be able to get some in a few days.

Okay. You use what you need to. We can worry about phasing it out later on

Well I had her on a 50/50 mix and I think we will be able to start back up there and phase out.

Okay. Let me know how she does with that. If she refuses, just keep decreasing the amount of raw until she reaches a point where she WILL eat it, even hand fed. We can work back up from there.

It's going much better now that she has soup again. I think I'm going to try adding some very small chunks and see how it goes over.

Something that might work better for her is mixing in some plain ground meat. Not a chunk texture that's going to cause her to rebel, but definitely more texture than soup. Let me know what she thinks of either!

Oh that's what I meant was some chunks of ground meat as opposed to blended up. We're at a stand still now. She doesn't like this batch of soup and I don't understand why. It's just boiled chicken that's blended, which is what I have been using this whole time and she loved. I offered it to her without any raw mixed in and it's definitely the soup. So I guess I need to try another batch or buy the ridiculously priced baby food. I didn't even get to the adding chunks of ground meat cus she started the refusing soup thing.
She has in the past just decided she doesnt like something that she used to like though. She did that with freeze dried. Loved it for a couple of months and now refuses to touch it. I will see what she does with a new batch first.
