Out of curiousity for future use, Does anyone know of any breeders in the north part of texas? I'm going to pick up my girl tommorrow but eventually (when I convince my husband) I'd like to get her a buddy. I've kept a single ferret before and we were extreamly close, but I know that they can be even happier with a friend. So thats my future plans and I'd like to go the private breeder, or even rescue route. Thanks for any info

Joan is the best ferret breeder in the Texas area but doesn't place with people who are not very familiar with ferrets and breeder ferrets in particular. She might know of a breeder that would suit your needs though if she won't place with you. She's very particular with who she places with because her wee ones are hybrid polecats for the most part and they are a bit more....hmmm...feisty I think is the best word for them She wouldn't have any to place until next year because I believe all her wee ones from this year have homes. ciao

I'm actually pretty familiar with ferrets. My dad used to keep ferrets when I was younger and I've pretty much grown up around them. I just havent had a ferret in a few years because my last ferret I was extreamly attached to passed away and I just couldnt handle the idea of replacing him Anyways, this is just a future idea. Something I'll have to think about and perhaps I will contact her and just talk to her about all of this as well. Thank you so much for letting me know
