Awww. Cute pics. =] I'm glad you were able to get the bone out. I'm sure that was very uncomfortable for Jack. Imagine having a bone stuck in YOUR teeth

Oh, yeah- been there, done that . But it's scary when that happens. Usually, my guys are able to finally get it out themselves. The odd time they haven't been able to, I've been able to "help" without losing too much blood ;D

I've had that happen a few times with Sophie Ann which is scarey because the noise that they make and how uncomfortable they are sucks and with it being Sophie Ann....I'm afraid she'd take a chunck out of my finger! Luckily both times it's happened I was able to scruff her and get it out and it was like she knew I was helping her and she didn't bite me...three min. later when I reached back in the cage of course she attacked...

I've had that happen a few times. It is very scary, especially when you can't seem to get the chunk out from between their teeth. I find that the more they eat raw the more proficient they are about actually getting that piece of bone out of their. Nicodemus was the worst for getting things stuck between his teeth. I sometimes wonder if some fuzzes, like us humans, have slightly different spacing between their teeth setting them up for this type of issue more often than others. There a couple of ferrets that I seem to rescue regularly while others just either get really proficient at preventing or getting that wedged bone out themselves or it doesn't happen. I'm glad that you were finally able to give him some relief. Adorable pics, they do pull it off so well at getting us to forgive them for scaring us gray all the time . ciao
