I was reading on someone's thread ab their unhappiness w hare today. I've always considered using them, but the shipping is just too much. In reading I learned ab these other companies. I found a retailer near me that sells the above and wondering if it was worth a try.
Are these foods just supplements or can you make your entire raw diet with them? I'm wondering bc I was so busy this past semester with 30-40 hr work weeks in addition to school, and this would be soon much more convenient. If anyone could give me some input/insight I would really appreciate it!

Thank you, so the ones listed are acceptable? My other question is how much, how often, and do I need to supplement them?

Agreed! It can be so very handy when you are busy. They get a complete meal every time. I was just checking them out. With the Primal, I'd stick with the grinds. They seem to have the best balance of ingredients. You could always add a couple of the frozen formulas just to add in some variety. The bravo looks pretty good, and Nature's Variety is good as well.

Loki ate the primal feline formulas with pheasent being her favorite. The nuggets are in female ferret serving size. I just popped 4 in a zip lock in the fridge ovetnight and Mashed it with a fork and mixed in some warm water.

One thing I should add- if you do feed strictly commercial for any length of time, you may find you have one or more who will NOT eat RMB's without some persuasion. They can be very lazy eaters, after all ;D So if possible, try to keep some in a few times a week

Rad Cat frozen raw is really good for ferrets . no plant/veg matter. i don't like the natures variety instinct. i bought it once and never again. i like Primal and Bravo alot. but you need to get the Bravo that has bones and organs in it bc there are some that only have muscle meat or just organs or vice versa. i can't remember right now.

What I really DID like about the NV raw was the fact that it was the only food that helped control Boris' IBD. That is due to the clay they use in it.

Ok thanks I'll keep that in mind. Unfortunately there is no Rad Cat around me... The closest retailer is 80 mi. I have found a pet wellness store that sells the other 3, so I'll be making a trip as soon as I get paid.

Hi Maddy, I'm in a similar situation as a result of my local grocery stores pretty much eliminating all ferret sized bones that aren't chicken and CGH. Right now i'm looking into feeding a variety of the bravo grinds and supplementing with chicken wings as well as turkey hearts, some rabbit organs and pork chunks, all balanced obviously. I'm hoping that using this method I can get the benefits of the variety offered by primal, with the balance and enrichment offered by feeding frankenprey. Maybe a simmilar feeding schedule would work for your guys (and keep thenm from getting too lazy ) Best of luck!

Since I proclaimed my unhappiness with Haretoday, I've been feeding my crew NV, Primal and Bravo as a thick soup in the mornings and bone in chunks at night. This way they do get a balanced meal from the frozen but still remember how to chew. Of course sometimes they just don't eat the chunks at night because they know soup is coming in the morning I really like the Nature's Variety - they are the only ones with rabbit (I think) and my kids love rabbit.

Bravo also makes a rabbit basic grind. It's simply rabbit meat and bone. I picked up a 2lb chubb of it yesterday, Weasel LOVED it. I plan on going back for a chubb of the ostrich and the duck and maybe the lamb
