She used to eat the bravo commercial frozen consistency but now she won't eat it unless I add water to it to make it soupy.... Any suggestions? She was doing so well and I thought we were making great progress but we've reached a standstill. Is it ok if that's as far as she goes for a raw diet? Also if she never progresses past soup what should I do to keep her teeth healthy since she won't chew on bones? The bravo has ground up bones in it but I'm sure she doesn't chew them...

It can take a bit to go from ground to whole raw meaty bones. Health wise, as long as she's eating enough, yes, she can stay on commercial raw. If, however, you want her to go past that, start adding tiny slivers of meat to it. And I mean about the same size as the ground, or just a bit bigger.

Loki ate Primal frozen raw for awhile going back and forth on how much water she wanted me to add. One day she randomly joined the other the during their bone in chicken theigh meal and never looked back. In the duration though N-bone ferret treats and weekly teeth brushings help. You can use a small childs toothbrush a rubbet finger tip brush or gauze. You can use a natural pet toothpaste such as this one www.onlynaturalpet.com/products/Triple-Pet-All-Natural-Toothpaste/159002.aspxSent from my SCH-M828C using ProBoards

Her poop is likely a bit smelly because it takes their bodies up to a few months to "detox" and adapt from kibble to raw In the interim pumpkin will also help replace the food gut bacteria. You can also give about 1/2 tsp plain full fat yogurt a day I'd she'll Take it as well. It certainly won't hurt her

Thanks, you guys are always so helpful and quick to reply! . I just redid her cage tonight so hopefully she will stop having "accidents" up on her cage shelf. How often should I brush her teeth?

Lol well I tied a blanket around the shelf lol she always pulled the other blanket off because it wasn't secure. And I put a tube going up from the bottom floor to the side of the shelf that she potties on so that she would have to walk through the potty area to get out of the tube on the shelf. Hopefully that will help... Spoiled brat lol. And she now has a cat bed on the floor of the cage. I wish I could make her a feeding den but the cage isn't big enough..

Once or twice a week teeth brushing is good. You can search freecycle or craigslist for a bigger cage for free or a decent cost.

Try slowwwlly making it more chunky. My female Olivia would only eat soup for the first 3 months on raw but now she crunches down huge chunks and bones. Just keep trying!
