Until the mentoring program is back up, I'm going to post here. I made a baby food consistency soup from chicken, beef liver and chicken hearts. Goose went all night without food, and has had probably 3 bites of it so far. I let him play a bit, then make him eat a bite, then let him play again, and repeat. If he hasn't eaten more soon I'll add some kibbles to it, and hopefully he will eat some. If not, I'll just keep adding kibbles till he eats it.

Be careful with leaving a ferret with an unknown history for that long without food. If they have a hidden insulinoma, that can cause a crash. Best bet? Take the kibbles out for two or three hours, offer the soup several times throughout the day, the put the kibbles back in when he goes back in the cage. That way, he's getting a bit of food throughout the day, and has his kibbles at night.

He turned up his nose at the kibble, walked over to his soupy and ate two big mouthfuls! I'll leave some kibbles in his bedroom tonight at bedtime, and there is a bowl out right now, so he can have it if he wants it. Still trying to figure out a way to hook a chicken wing up (granted I have a while before I need to worry about it) because he doesn't have a cage. Any ideas?

You can make him a feeding den and attach hooks inside.
