Hello! I'm pretty sure I was a member here before, but I couldn't remember my login and my email has since changed. I was more of a lurker, and I hope that making a new account was ok I am currently ferret-less, something I am hoping to change come Thursday. I've spent more of my life owning ferrets then I have not owning them, and I miss it! I got my first ferret at 7 years old, and two more quickly followed suit. The first ended up getting very anemic and after many vet visits decided to put her to sleep. The other two just passed away this last summer at 12 years old. In high school I did a sort of "rescue", people knew I had ferrets and so I seemed to be the one they gave them too when they turned out to be too much work, or their kid lost interest etc. At one point we had 17. Well, I look forward to getting to know all of you, and hopefully introducing my new furrzit to everyone!

Thanks Yup 12 They were Marshalls girls as well. Right after I posted that I was looking on craigslist and found a dew boy for free and went and got him He is FAT and his fur is a nasty yellow color (He has been eating Marshalls so I don't expect much lol) but he got a bath and is currently exploring his new home and meeting the current residents of 2 cats and 3 dogs (who are all very ferret-friendly) dooking as loud as he can. He is having his first raw meal tonight, we will see if he will eat some small chunkies I am going on Thursday to see if our local shelter still has the ferret I fell in love with yesterday and hopefully he will be coming home with me too. He is another chunky boy, but sable *off to post pictures of the new guy!*

Welcome! I have heard several people mention that they have had marshalls live to be 12 or 13. But it is rare. You are, lucky! I wish that was more common. Hey, must be doing something right to get two marshalls,to live to 12! So, when are you going to adopt new babies?
