So all the ferts went on an outing on Saturday.
First we made a quick stop at the pet store. Pierre and I had a question for them. Zeus was on his leash, but Hades and Nyx had to be in the carrier. Nyx is to small for any harness I can get locally so I have to order one that might fit her. And I'd bought a leash and for Hades but even though I was told it would fit him it's to big and of course I lost the receipt.
They seemed to enjoy the new sites and smells though.
Then off to our appointment with the vet.
Finally got them weighed in!
Zeus:2.43 lb (He's noticeably dropping in weight so I want to get him weighed again to make sure it's just winter weight)
Hades: 2.87 lb
Nyx: 1.59 lb
Not the vet admitted up front that she doesn't know a get deal about ferrets but if I chose to stay there she will do some reading and anything she can't answer there are other vets she know she can ask. So I like that she was honest.
She did a basic check up and gave them a clean bill of health. She asked me if I wanted to do any vaccines but I wasn't sure. First off I don't know what they've had and second I don't know what they really 'need'.
But I feel much better and less worried now. Zeus is doing better for sure. And the other two where fine to start with. They all get 1/2 tsp Olive Oil and Salmon Oil each night buy feeding syringe so I know they are each getting the same amount because they will fight over it at this point. They also each get 1/2 tsp Pumpkin, warmed want with water added every 2 or 3 days.
They where so tuckered out after we got home, but they did so well for the first trip away from home. It was cute watching Zeus sleep in my arms at the vet. None of them have done that before. Made me happy.
Had a good weekend. And on top of all that my Grandfather mentioned that I that I should make a pen for them in the yard for I have the ok for that!! Awesome!!
