Squash baby food works just as well. We just use pumpkin because more comes in the can, than squash in the baby food jar ;D Give him a full tsp at a time, once a day, anyway, during shedding season. And if you are fairly sure you have a potential blockage- give them straight vaseline if you don't have lax or pumpkin. Up to about a tsp. Yes, it will strip the bowel of good bacteria. But if it's going to become an emergency, better that than surgery, or worse.

So I picked up a can of pumpkin last night and a feeding syringe.
With the help of the syringe I finally got Zeus to take some Olive Oil. Gave him about a quarter of a tsp last night and another quarter of a tsp this morning. I'm giving it to all three in the same dosage, quarter tsp twice a day when they get brushed. I can however at this point just pour it into a bowl and all three will drink it. The reason I'm doing it this way is that they don't want to be brushed, especially Hades, so it's not of a treat after the torture.
However none of them will willingly eat the pumpkin. I syringe fed it to them last night. Not very much because I wasn't sure how much to give them any they really didn't want it. I will give them more tonight.
I was thinking of mixing it with the kibble as well. See if they might take it then.

I mix my pumpkin with some water, olive oil, and then heat it up a bit in the microwave. I let them lick it off my fingers to get them used to the taste. You can mix it with some raw soupie too.

If you are trying to get them to pass a hairball, give about 1tsp a day. Do that for 2-3 days. As a preventative, since they are still on kibble, I'd give about 1tbsp a week.

I missed it with a little Olive Oil in hopes that at least Hades and Nyx would eat it but they just licked the oil off.
I didn't warm it though.
I'll try again tonight with the water and Oil and warm it.
If that still doesn't work I'll still syringe feed it for now until they learn to eat it themselves.

I gave them all there Olive Oil and manage to get them to take a little but not a full tsp. I tried warming it and adding water but they still act like it's poison.
Nyx has me worried now though. She seems to be loosing fur on her bum. She's only about 7 months old according to her previous owner.
I noticed it when I let her out to play last night. It wasn't like that when I brushed in yesterday morning. Or at least I didn't notice it.
The first picture is with all her fur brushed down, the second I moved the top fur a little to get a better look at things.

I've seen that thread and I aged them right after that. Her teeth are completely solid white. Even the very tips.

Unfortunately, adrenal is possible in fuzzies that young. Have you ruled out fleas?

She can't have fleas because the climate here kills them. The air is to dry for fleas and they dye off not long after coming here.

She's shedding. I can see all the new hair growing in the picture. You have nothing to worry about. Just keep giving her pumpkin so she doesn't get a blockage.

Thanks, sherik- that's what I was about to suggest Some ferret shed in chunks and tufts. Hold her up, and see if you can pull the loose fur out. That's what's meant by "blowing" their coat Def. up the pumpkin and lax to prevent a blockage.
