After having to switch my rabbit into an OLD bird cage(note it is one thats big enough to be a rabbits cage for indoor use as well) however, I have 2 old food bowls that my birds used to use I have another one of these downstairs in a spare bird cage however, I was wondering if it'd work as either a treat dish or a regular food bowl for a spare one? I figured find out before using it to be on the safe side

I can't really make it out from that picture. It's too dark.

Who are you wanting to use the dish for? The rabbit or your ferret? From what I can tell, it's an apple shaped dish with just a tiny little part for food to go. Probably too small for a ferret or a rabbit to eat from. But if it's one of those bird foraging toys, then it can be used for treats for ferrets. But please do post a better pic so we can see if its safe

If I am seeing it correctly, it is a large apple shape, heavy ceramic, with an opening in one side. I have used something similar made for birds for a ferret food dish for an incurable digger (for kibble) It is large enough for the ferret to get his head in and out but makes it difficult for him to dig. Just make sure the opening is big enough so the head can't get caught.
