So I am trying to put together more of a structured menu for Flower than just what ever I buy/make willy nilly lol. I am looking at mainly feeding her Bravo and some of that has heart andorgans, but Im thinking I should get taurine supps just in case its not that much in the commercial. what are some good brands/places to get some and how many mg's(or what ever its measured in) should she be getting on a weekly basis? Also I was thinking of adding salmon oil because she has been so itchy and grooming her self alot, I know there are many brands of that sold and I want to make sure I get a good kind... And lastly lol most of the commercial has round up bone-in-meat in it, so I do not have to worry about giving her a calcium supplement then? So much to learn lol

Supplementing with taurine is never a bad idea. It is easily excreted through the urine, so toxic build is not a concern. I prefer using a powdered supplement that is pure taurine powder to avoid fillers and for easy addition to soups/meats/whatever. I've used the NOW taurine brand www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000BQSQ68/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?&tag=pbv-20I usually added about 1 gram a day for my 3 (the container has 227 grams total). So about 0.33 grams (330 mg a day). I believe Jennifer suggests giving 250 mg a day. As for oil, try to find one free of any additives and preservatives. I don't know one off hand, but I'm sure someone will pitch in about that And as long as you have ground bone, you will not need to supplement with any calcium. The only thing I would suggest is to try to feed a variety of bone sources (so chicken bone, turkey bone, etc).

I use a 500 mg taurine capsule or two ( basic one from store, no extra stuff in it) mixed into little jar of squash baby food ( I give about a teaspoon every other day) and this great salmon oil that comes in a spray bottle. It's deep sea salmon oil with no preservatives. I got it from my local holistic pet food store, but you can get itnonline. I don't use any added calcium. sometimes i give some lactose free milk (if i have some for my cereal) but that is more like a treat for him. i don't necessarily give it to him all the time. so i guess that has added calcium.
i use grizzly salmon oil. just a little bit every other day. prob 1/4 pump on whatever i give him to eat.
reishi mushroom capsules he gets 1/8 to 1/4 capsule every day. i can't measure it very accurately. i use new chapter organics lifeshield. each capsule has 500 mg. i don't give it for ibd or anything, just for general health, improved immune system (hopefully).
taurine, i give about 200-250 mg every other day. its hard to measure for me sometimes i dump more of the capsule in than i intend to. i just get whatever brand i can find that says "pure taurine" and that does not have fillers, preservatives, etc.
coq10- i just use the walgreens brand. i give 25 mg per day.
that's about it for supplements.
