I little brag here, hope you don't mind. I got a small rabbit from rodent pro almost a month ago... and this is the third time I've tried to feed it. It probably would've went much better, and much faster if I would've cut into it... but I just... couldn't Third time's the charm, I guess! I decided to give them a really light breakfast... and they played outside of the cage all day. (they can only eat IN their cage and they never wanted to go back in, I never put them back in) So last night I dumped it into their bow and ran to bed... I didn't want to see any of it, and I REALLY hoped I would not wake up to a HUGE mess ................... all I found in the morning was very small tufts of fur ;D And I did a total cage cleanout this afternoon. Woohooo!! Go Izzy and Murtagh!

Wow! I hope mine take to rabbit as well, I bought a small rabbit as well and am a little afraid to thaw it out one of these days and have them refuse it, they've never had it before. And I completely understand not wanting to chop into it, I'm the same way.

Congratulations...that is fantastic. Persistance, that's what it's all about. Being more stubborn than the fuzzies My bunnies were so large the last time I had to cut them into quarters, couldn't have given them the whole rabbit, but all that was left...was rear feet (they're still playing with those ), ears and skull and of course the outer fur.....oh and the tail ciao

Congratulations! That's some huge leaps and bounds right there! I was so thrilled when my cat, who couldn't handle anything but birds, took to rabbit. Yay!!!

I did find some teeth! But that was about it. I am sooo pleased! Mostly that I did not wake up to a big nasty mess, but also I am proud of my little carnivores! goingpostal - I hope you're take to it as well as mine did! I did NOT want to do any cutting... bleh!! I like feeding whole prey SO much better, though. I thought it was going to be worse, and I never thought I'd feed it... But its actually less messy, and their poops are much more consistent and less smelly.
