Hello All, I am a brand spanking new member, with a ferret who was destined to be dumped in a local park if no one took her home tonight.
This is not my first ferret, but it has been several years and I was recommended here when I inquired about feeding raw on a completely different forum as I am slowly turning my cat that direction as well (he eats canned).
I am hoping to learn plenty from the other users on this forum while I finish Ferrets for Dummies 2nd edition.
Perphaps if there are any members close to me we can have playdates and I can relearn how to care for these laughing monsters.
Pictures to come soon!
Lu and the currently unnamed ferret...

Where are you located? After I've had my boys a little longer I'd love to give them a playdate. Doesn't seem to be too many people on the form who are up in New England though Also, welcome! I'm still learning about raw as well but the people here are great and an excellent source of information.

Hi and welcome to the forum please, feel free to browse, post, ask questions and join in the conversations! And thank you so much for giving this wee mite a forever home! People really tick me off how dare they simply abandon them to die like that

Hi and welcome on board. Thank you for saving a wee one from a horrible fate, it was wonderful for you to open your home and offer a forever home to the little one Please feel free to prowl the site, check out the various sections. You may want to do some serious reading through our nutritional section with it's various subsections. You can also read through some of our mentoring threads (you can't post to them but they're open to anyone wanting to read them). They offer a huge insight into the various methods and difficulties that are encountered by people switching their wee ones. Don't be shy, ask questions, get involved in the discussions. Everyone's friendly I hope we will be seeing you and hearing about your little one in the near future. Pictures are always appreciated (demanded by some ;D ;D) ciao
