Hi all, I ave just remade my account. My name is Kim and Im from NY. I was a member back in the early spring when I took in an elderly ferret whome I named Tink. Tink had been dumped by her owners and had Insulinoma. She only lived with me about 3 weeks before she passed Well now I would like to introduce a ferret I took in last night. I have named her Flower. She does not look too old, maybe 3 or 4? And she is super skinny. She has a vet app. saturday and I will ask her to confirm. I will also be having her blood glucose level tested. Flower was dumped at a petco, and was being fed ferret food that advertised "banana, pineapple, papaya, and raisins" in its ingredients I really hope that she doesnt have insulinoma and will start to get better now that she is on a better diet.

Hi, and welcome back I'm so sorry about your Tink Sometimes it seems it doesn't take very long for them to find their heartkey to the bridge And I'm glad you were able to open your heart to another little rescue! Fingers crossed she's not suffered too many ill effects from her previous diet. Once she starts on a better one, she'll thrive

Hi and welcome back I'm sorry to hear about your wee little one. Sometimes they only seem to hang on long enough to get their heartkey and move on. They're not a selfish lot, so when they find a good place then they move on so another wee one can earn their heartkey. I hope that flower stays longer in your care. That was a horrible diet that she was on....poor thing. At least now she will get good food and care. Good luck, hope you post a few pics ciao

evo ferret. I also tried to give her a little of the frozen natures variety raw chicken medallions, the canned cat natures variety chicken, and a piece of wet freeze dried chicken but no go on those lol but she is eating the evo. And she was running around the living room tonight like a little banshee so she is not lacking energy, jus veryy skinny, her hip bones are sticking out...
