Another thing about going on to raw- they WILL drop weight at first because they are eating fewer carbs. That will shortly be replaced by muscle, though

yeah we are into a week now, the ferrets have been eating nothing but chicken! Max feels like he gained 2 pounds! he is heavy!!!! but he looks underweight! hopefully his body will catch up

Remember- muscle is leaner, so they won't have that chub you are used to any longer. In exchange, their bodies will wind up looking, and feeling, more solid.

He was prob chunky bc he wad still hanging onto baby fat. Here is Sonny at 1 year old (summer weight). He eats zero kibble. He loves turkey, lamb & duck duck goose from s & c. I think its the freeze dried duck duck goose & lamb!

I love that belly. He has skimmed down recently and is growing in a darker coat. I think he may have his seasons screwed up too!
