So, for the past 3 months I've been whittling down my meat supply, so I can get fresh in before winter (and snow) make delivering impossible. Last week was my first order from h-t for the season. The crazy run down looks like this:
8 dressed quail 120 quail feet 6 lbs chicken hearts 2 lbs chicken necks 6 lbs turkey hearts 4 lbs turkey thigh strips 3 lbs bone in rabbit chunks 2 lbs small pork bones 2 lbs beef rmbs 3 lbs ground goose 3 lbs goose rmbs 5 lbs ground duck 3 lbs duck rmbs 2 lbs small mutton bones 30 oz raw goat's milk 2 lbs small goat bones 2 lbs sardines 16 week old quail 30 feeder chicks
.... ahahaha. Imagine that bill :\ Talk about spoiled ferts (and, oh my god, that is a lot of dividing and repackaging. I've been at it for a few hours and it's going to run into tomorrow).

Lol I feel the same way, I'm trying to only order from hare today and rodent pro 2x a year max so I keep a six month supply of whole prey, rabbit meat, organs etc. I think there's a bag of french fries and some fruit for us in the freezer downstairs but everything else is for the carnivores of the house. James doesn't like putting his food next to dead mice for some reason anyways. ;D
Do yours like the quail feet? I wavered on ordering feet last time and didn't because I wasn't sure if they'd eat them or not. And I never buy goose because it's so darn expensive, that and pheasant.

Oh I can imagine the bill. I just ordered 60 lbs of the ground mixes from HT. I need to invest in a meat grinder How is the raw goat's milk? Does it come like the qual eggs do - in little plastic jars? Every time I order from Hatetoday I want to order some but my brats are so picky I imagine it just sitting around.

My guys absolutely love the quail feet! And I hate how expensive the goose pheasant and duck are - but unfortunately that's what Miss Pix does best on, so that's what she gets Re goat's milk: this is the first time I've gotten their goat's milk. I tried the store kind, my guys loved it, so I thought raw would be better. It does come in a little plastic tub, though Hahaha, I looked at the boxes, and inventory list, remembered how much Neera likes to eat, and said "this isn't going to get me past December :\ " I've got November and early December to order the rest, and hopefully that'll see me through the year!
