It's been costing me quite a bit just to feed raw to my 9 ferrets and I would love to have them on whole prey now but for 6$ a rat, I won't be able to handle that financially. Is there a place where anyone buys rats online in Canada? I would of loved being able to breed feeders but don't have the heart to feed live or to kill them myself.

Do you know of any snake and reptile suppliers in your area? I made a deal with a person who raises snakes...I buy full grown rats from her. They're too big for her snakes, so she sells them to me. It costs me about $3 a rat. These would be classified as xlarge rats when buying on line or from a petstore supplier. You might also try going to a snake and reptile fair...there are always suppliers there too. ciao

I'll look around on craiglist and kijiji and see if anyone has any. I'm going to a reptile expo end october so I might have to stock up.

From what I understand, The Canadian Mouseman is going to be carrying rats. Not sure of the price, though. He's based out of BC

Just looked it up and I found that he has rats for 7$ a jumbo, that's about the price at my petstore though. I might have found a rabbit supplier half an hour from me though, just waiting for an email back.
