I feed my ferrets a watery dook soup am and pm, I wondered if I could just put a certain amount of slippery elm bark powder in their soup and mix it up before I serve it. If I CAN do it this way, how much? The slippery elm bark powder I have is the 4oz in the gold bag by Heritage Products. This is for my IBD boy, Skipper. He's about 3.5 pounds, adrenal also, and has responded well to reishi mushroom. Thanks for your help. :-)

Slippery elm powder is best dissolved in warm or hot water and then added to your soupy. There's a thread involving the use of slippery elm in the health section (I believe) I've used it a number of times. The only thing I can advice is that some medications do not absorb properly with this, antibiotics are a primary thought or consideration. Read through the thread, it should answer just about all your questions. I like the results. ciao
