Hiko has a lot of the musculature/motor characteristics of WS , but I don't see any cognitive differences between him and my other guys, but that'd be part of the spectrum, right, that not all are cognitively impaired by it?

I've always thought Luna might be WB, she has short legs, stubby tail, she is not deaf, but definitely special lol. She's much more of a loner then the others, playing even sleeping she chooses to be alone rather then seeking another out like the others do. She is a champagne panda, with the slightest discolouration where a blaze could be. SHe also is very SLOW to learn things, but she is stubborn and will continue to try even if she doesn't have the agility to do what she wants she will continue to jump at things (like trying to get on couch) over and over and over and never makes it LOL you can kinda see the blaze here, looks like a dent lol Her stubby tail, and flat head, though she has a super small head. Though after reading through the other descriptions I'm thinking Neka may be WB as well. He's a deaf DEW has a flatish head, and is stubborn, difficult to train/correct!!! though he's much better about biting now. Though some issues could just be because he's deaf. Neka's flat head???

Mr. Frodo also has a lot of the physical characteristics. Shorter legs, blocky body, flat skull, clumsy, deaf, "special", and one of the sweetest natured ferrets I've ever come across Willow is also WS. Flat skull, deaf, bad biter(she was abused, however). And it takes her a while to learn: Zeus, although not deaf, also shows a number of signs, including being not the brightest boy around:

I'm pretty sure A**hole Asher is a WS guy. He's a deafy, not very coordinated, and is a little special. He's got a very big body but kind of smaller legs and shorter tail.

My Snorri is probably Waardenberg. He's the front boy, better closeup of his face: He's hard of hearing but not totally deaf (he *always* hears the camera shutter when I try to take pics of him sleeping). He also loooves toys with bells in and crinkly tubes. He does not have the scream, he dooks like a regular ferret. He is rough when wrestling, it took a while for him to learn to moderate his beatings so anyone would play with him. He still has trouble remembering to wrestle with our omega Dominique, rather than pin him down, chew on his neck, and wonder why Dominique then runs and hides when let up. His behavior is probably the most typical ferret of any of my 4. He was super high-energy when we got him, and also the youngest ferret we'd ever had at just barely 1 year. Now at almost 2 he's calmed down to just active. He stashes toys, then pulls them around under his belly while scooting backwards. He's a maniac in the dig box, scooting around backwards trying to hoard all the rice. He'll do a dozen complete backwards circles in the rice box. And he adores foraging toys, he'd rather eat his regular food from the foraging toy than the dish. Re: learning, he loves training because it means treats, but now that I think about it he's really bad at learning. I always assumed he was just so excited about the treats that his tiny brain short-circuited, but it could be a ferrety learning disability. He has the pez head in spades, whenever I pick him up, if I flip him onto his back, he forgets how to move for a while except for flipping his head back and craning it around. He'll also stand up, hold on to the open cage door with his front paws, and flip his head over backwards so it's upside-down. I am dying to get a pic of this. He's a big boy for a Marshall's, with floofy coat especially in winter. He has good muscle tone. I think the bridge of his nose looks wider and his head flatter than most ferrets. He seems fairly proportional to me, he has a big butt but also a big everything else. Except his stubby tail, which is so cute! He does do the body poof, then tail poof thing. And no leg coordination problems, even on the wood floors. And I could go on about my babies for hours! Hehe.

Hiko has a lot of the musculature/motor characteristics of WS , but I don't see any cognitive differences between him and my other guys, but that'd be part of the spectrum, right, that not all are cognitively impaired by it? Although SoCo a lot of cognitive oddities about him, he hears fine- Mojito on the other hand is deaf (or at least partially deaf, not totally positive yet)- one thing they both share are the physical attributes of WS. Mojito just happens to be very acrobatic, totally fearless and usually the first of my guys to figure anything out/the most aggressive at figuring things out (he is basically SoCo's opposite, lol) He does throw his head back a lot and he prefers to sleep belly-up, or in strange positions (my favorite so far being: hanging so far out of the hammock that the top of his head is resting against a cage shelf) he is also (may or may not be a notable characteristic) the only one of my ferrets who "wags his tail" he likes to be in tight spaces a lot and if he happens to be in a tight hidden/dark space while he is playing he will rythmicly beat his tail back and fourth against the walls of the tight space. To my understanding there is a spectrum and different fuzz fall in different places on the spectrum- bare in mind, though, that I am far from an expert.. I just, often times, have a lot of time between patients at work and try to fallow/understand the experts convos the best i can

This is Hoss. He had the flattened skull with odd set eyes, short tail, splotchy edges to his white markings and dark splotches in the white field on the belly. You can see the splotchy look in the second pic. He was not deaf but was dumb as a rock. Sweetest thing ever, though.

Oh my I'm willing to be that's what our Frodo looked like when he was a baby! He's still got the leggings and coloured tail left.

they are all so beautiful! and the thing with the "cuddly" that seems to be VERY common amongst WB ferrets! because Rob is the MOST CUDDLY FERRET i have every seen next to this ferret that came in the shelter that was NEVER let out of his cage except for when he was being held. keep posting! also Rob is kinda funny about walking and is pear shaped:)

Kenai is pear shaped also! He has a stubby tail, though it has grown a little bit, it is still kind of short - when he was a kit though it was sooo hilariously stubby! We'd laugh at him about it almost daily. I have never noticed if his legs are shorter or not lol but I don't think they are. His body is definitely put together differently though and he moves very differently. Gotta love the Waddle! ;D He is also a lot more vocal than Koda. He makes whimpery crying noises, barks, etc in addition to dooking and the occasional hiss. He sleeps in the most bizarre positions, has dreams a lot, and often SHOOTS out of sleep in a fit of fear. He's a goober. Not sure of his social skills since he only interacts with Koda but he loves his hoomans and likes to sit on my feet so that I will pick him up. You can see the lack of anything going on in his face too. Poor little guy! ;D

Ha Ha wouldn't trade them for the world either! Sebastian is cuddly, goofy, clumsy and oafish, took forever to litterbox train, and loves the full body rub down. His war dance is a dizzying, head swinging, wall crashing, falling off the bed clomping mess that usually results in some collision that has me running to see if he got a concussion....love him!!

A flat head and stubby tail can indicate Waardenburger? My ferrets not deaf I don't think but he does have both of those and white patches under his feet. Hes not really bright either.
