It's weird, but I was also noticing a number of people here have WS ferrets who's tails are a bit shorter. As are mine. A flattened head shape, making it look like it's tapering toward the nose("normal" ferret's heads are a bit more rounded), white markings on the head(blaze, panda, DEW), almond shaped eyes, white knees, deafness, clumsiness, stubbier legs, mentally slow. The flattened head make the eyes appear a bit farther apart than usual. These are all symptoms. Now again, a ferret can have some of the above and NOT be WS. All it really means is your baby is a bit "special As for any special health risks associated with WS(or neural crest disorder), it's really more anecdotal. Here's a discussion we'd had on the old forum: www.holisticferret.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talking&action=display&thread=6082&page=1

Here is a recent video of four of mine playing on the bed, Sebastian is the main subject while he is in view. He is the WS fella mostly white. (Boot is the sable, Ollie is the bigger silver mitt and Maisey is not on frame much, under the covers tunnelling during this) I like how it ends, which is typical Sebastian, with Boo looking at him like "what the??"

I'm guessing he's the little spaz that eventually falls off the bed? He's a cutey...reminds me of my Thor. Different colour but the same spun little dude. ciao

I once described Thor, being similar to the coyote on Bugs Bunny after the coyote had been hit by lightning.....toes all spayed out, little short legs absolutely stiff....he would sort of vibrate across the floor until he hit a wall....do several mad weasel hops and a somersault then start vibrating across the floor until he hit the next wall....he would do this all the way down the hallway. I tried video taping it once but I was laughing so hard you couldn't see the clip clearly. ciao

I'm will share a few of Trixie. I'm not sure if she's WS or not... She is special, very docile, more vocal than the others, loves to poof her tail and is a bit slower to catch on. She has white patches on her knees, so maybe. She's a bigger girl, not weight wise (about 2 lbs, a bit less). She is very toned and muscular. Very nice build.
Anyway here a are few pics.
