how's his muscle tone??? that weighs more than fat, so, he may still be the same weight due to fat being converted to muscle.
oth, if he is actually losing muscle mass, then it could be that adrenal disease is at play...
even with meds, none of mine that are adrenal have gained significant weight; even for winter.

Oh, he's wiry, all right What's odd is it's almost as though he's gained in length, but stayed the same weight I'm not so worried about him now that I know he hasn't lost any weight. He's basically become a "greyhound", instead of a normal looking floof. And at the age of 3 years, no less. Don't get me wrong- if he'd lost weight, muscle mass, or had some behavioural change, I'd take him in. I just found it really interesting how his body shape has changed to the extent it has!

I've noticed a similar change with Pixie - she was always very small and petite, especially compared to Trixie. Now, they are nearly the same length, as if she's gotten longer. This has happened recently following her switch to raw.

How old is Pixie now? Boris is 3 and has been raw fed for almost 3 years now.

Definition: Ferret - heart attack in disguise as fluffy cuteness Haha, I love this, Jackie! It's so true.

are you absolutely sure of his age?
if not and he's actually older, then, the changes you're seeing would be age-related!

Mojito was never an especially skinny boy either- he fluctuates but hes never been as skinny as he is now. When we had to emergancy move from the flood we took everything and put it in the 2nd bedroom, the ferret cage was in there but only because in the new place Tequila kept trying to pee on it but my fiancee went into total daddy mode and cleared it all out- he keeps saying now that they have a room of their own Mojito will perk up to his regular weight again. I hope this is true... I dont think I have any pics of when he was at his most chubby but Ill look and update if I have any. This is not the best picture but its the best one from when he was chubby: This one is ok too: Then the most recent pictures I have are from right before we moved, since the move lasted friday-sunday and my fiancee thinks its stress but he is even skinnier now than these: NEVER has her butt been bigger than his, ever When he used to stand in this fashion, his belly touched the floor in this one you can kinda see the indentation by his hips. He is about 5 years old (4 y and 8 months if i go by what his previous owners told me but I like to add at least a little time on because previous owners arent usually the most *honest* people) He is still as active as ever (sometimes more active than Kahlua) he isnt loosing hair, he is eating fine. He has started climbing a whole lot more, I didnt realize it but last night when I was talking to my fiancee he pointed out the fact that although Mojito has always been a climber hes never done it as much as he has been lately. Then he said that he thinks Mojito was gaining a lot of muscle before the move and that the severe thin-ness is from stress from the move. I dont know- last night really freaked me out. When I got home and let them out he looked rail thin, like sickly thin- but then as soon as he ate, he looked much much better. *ALMOST* as good as in the pics from before the move. I cant wait for the opportunity to take him into see the vet

Is he eating/drinking/pooping normally? Lethargic? It could be stress. Some fuzzies are also shedding, so he could be losing his winter weight. How old is he?

I handnt thought of it until just now but Im thinking maybe I should leave meat in there all day long. I leave kibble (innova evo) but they barely ever touch it. When I get home they get raw soupie with beefy chunks of meat but I dont know what the next step should be. I was gonna get a meat grinder but then everyone said that was kinda pointless since i only want it for one stage of the switch.. how do I get them into eating bone in meat?

Are they eating whole chunks with no problem? Yea, as soon as they hear me come inside they pop their heads out of the hammock and start chomping down, it was hard to get him to eat the hunks at first but now he gives me dirty looks if he doesnt feel like there are enough. I made a new soupie last night with lots of big hunks, he is going to be happy tonight

I'd get some chicken wings and smash the bone and chop it into chunks. See how they do with that :-)
