I know there's a thread up with bio's, but I wasn't part of the old forum (accidentally made an account there before I saw the announcement about the new one though kinda spacey sometimes) so I figured I'd just introduce myself I'm Eri, and I'm a student doing pre-reqs at a junior college before I go to veterinary technician school. If I like that enough I figure doing the extra years for veterinary college won't be such a bother. So far I've been something of a reptiles gal with pythons, geckos, a rainbow boa and numerous amphibians, but I recently met a ferret and absolutely fell in love! Joined the forum here in hopes to do as much research and prep as possible, and it's exciting to know that there are whole prey options (have so much more than enough!). I don't really have a timeline of when I plan to actually pick up a ferret, but I figure it'll be soon after I move this summer. Until then I'll just keep reading (It's become habit now to read for 6 months to a year on an animal before actually getting one, and I have to say it's served me well). Thank you all for having such a place with a wealth of information! I hope I can contribute when the time comes

Hi and welcome on board I want to thank you for doing your research on ferrets before actually going out and buying one of the sweet, adorable, frustrating, infuriating little bundles of fuzz . Please feel free to prowl about read threads, ask questions....participate in discussions. We have a number of people on board at the moment who don't have fuzzes for various reasons but hope to have one in the near future. This is a great place to learn. No one pulls any punches, the information that you get will be honest. We love our little ones to distraction but we're also aware as to the difficulties that also arise from these intellegent creatures. I hope that I will be seeing you around ciao
