Generally, it's diagnosed empirically(symptoms), and treated with a combination of antibiotics over the course of a few weeks. But, I still really think it's the meds causing the problems with his stools being blackish/loose. Even though he's only getting a biweekly shot, ivermectin is still a toxin. And it's going to keep affecting him until he's finished with it.

Yeah understood. He has had 2 shots already, has one tomorrow and I'm guessing one more after that (based on the progress of his footrot and levels of scratching) So the end is in sight which is only a good thing.

Yes it is, poor little one. At least it's helping, and that's the important thing! He's going to be healthy. And the raw diet will only help bring that about faster, since it really does give them more reserves to draw on when ill.
