Hello. I have heard all kinds of good things about this group on FB, and decided to join ou and absorb all the wonderful information you provide for those in need. 4 years ago my husband got a job at a local pet store here and fell in love with ferrets. Since then, we have had a total of 28 fuzzbutts - and are currently at 17. We read up all we could, and have done the best we could to become good ferrants. We love out babies SOOOO much. Get them out about 1.5 -2 hours in the morning, and then another 1.5 in the evening while we clear their cages. 3 different groups - they do not all get along. They own the entire upstairs of our house when they are out. With all the toys it looks like a day care center for toddlers!!! We took a clear tube and ran it down the stairs to the dining room (only 8 stairs long because its a split level house) - TOBBOGAN RUN! That is their favorite. We have become an unofficial rescue center in our area and end up with the ferrets turned in at the store for various reasons. Vet bills take up most of our retirement funds, but they are worth it! They give us a reason to get up every day with a big smile on our face!!!!
