First off, thanks for the good wishes guys! Meet Deshka my probably new pony. I'll be signing the lease papers officially on Wed! She is such a sweetheart and tries really hard to please. She is very mellow but also super sensitive and responsive. And versatile! The owner is great, and I love the stable and the people I have met there so far. I think I will be able to learn a lot from her, and maybe even vice versa!
Also, the owner is going to let me help with riding lessons, and in the future possibly give some myself. Extra exciting also, she is going to get her Masters so that she can do horse therapy and is currently working with an adorable little boy who has anxiety issues. She said that I could come help and work with them!
I LOOOVE kids - that's what I want to do after all is work with kids. and I love horses. And this is semi-"medically" related. I am super excited as I think it will be way fun and a great way to learn a lot. I met the boy today (he was finishing up a "lesson" when I showed up) and he's adorable. I have always had anxiety issues myself and I love the idea of working with kids with anxiety disorders as I can really empathize.
Anyways, on to the fun-for-you-guys stuff...pictures!
She is half Arab, half Bashkir Curly Horse...
Trying her out for our first ride on Monday
Notice the crimpy mane haha that's the Bashkir Curly in her!
sometimes she looks really pretty, and sometimes she looks kind of goofy haha
Bit booty! (cripmy tail!)
She was NOT pleased with the rain today lol
itch itch itch!
Does that feel better?
And a terrible picture of me. I was moving, had helmet/rain hair...
