so i went to the store today to stock up on weasel food before i go away for a few days and noticed some turkey necks on sale for... $1.50 . one neck looked a little large, but i figured what the heck, for a buck fifty i cant say no. Well, it turns out that that giant turkey neck was actually the turkey's back, and what appears to be some ribs as well. I gave it a few good whacks with the hammer and then chopped it into more manageable pieces. Along with the rib bones and spine, the back has a lot of meat on it. The rib bones make me a wee bit nervous since they look so pointy. Has anyone ever fed something like this to their ferrets? What was your experience ? Thanks !

I feed whole chicken and cornish game hen carcasses (including the backs) and they handle it just fine. I would imagine the turkey bones would be a bit thicker than chicken, but if you crushed them a bit I don't think they'd have any issues with them.
Great find!

I've fed them with no issue. My guys aren't fond of them...they have to work for their dinner the lazy little farts ciao
