I'm so excited for you!!! They both sound like awesome horses. I should really save up the money to lease a nice calm horse to ride. Like you I was crazy horse obsessed from age 7 until about 15. I did take lessons every week for like 6 years and competed in hunters jumping competitions up to 3 feet but unfortunately some really bad falls (including one where I landed on a jump on my back with it arched and could've been paralyzed) have really left me shaken. My mom actually owns a horse (She was my horse) but shes an ex barrel racer and I just can't ride her because I'm way too nervous. I sometimes ride my moms friends horse who's a little Arabian too. She's pretty good but I'm still nervous to canter her because she can get a little spazzy. I would love nothing more than to lease a bomb-proof laid back horse and get my confidence back but it's so expensive, as I'm sure you know But I am happy for you! And definitely know what you mean. I swore I'd never stop riding and always stay horse obsessed but university and especially something like med school make it really hard Enjoy them while you can!

That's awesome Katt, hope it all works out for you The town I live in is known for horses - and the store I work in has a huge tack shop. Sadly I know NOTHING about horses, and they kind of make me nervous. But I've still always wanted to ride one - I'm jealous !
